Nice to see some ancillary work. remember it is an album digipak not a single so you may have a different album title. Consider the size of the fonts so people can see artist name clearly. Upload any original photos so we can see that the images are all your own work.

Laura Mulvey and Andrew Goodwin
The Goodwin Theory:
- Each music video shows a certain type of characteristic depending on genre.
- There can be a notion to looking of a female body to attract the viewer.
- There is usually a small relation between the music and the visuals.
- Record labels try to position the star in as many close ups as a way of promotion and recognition.
- Narrative performance of the song.
The Mulvey Theory:
Laura Mulvey created the theory on 'the male gaze' which discusses the way males look at females in music videos compared to how women look at other women.
The male gaze can be used in a number of ways. one main technique is the way the camera displays the female body, panning up and down for the effect of someone gazing. The theory states that the female body is used as an object of attraction. A good example I came across is by a band called Scouting for Girls - Shes so lovely where a girl walks in to the bowling alley and grabs the attention of all of the men. You could say it also grabbed the attention of the viewer.
Focus Groups and Results
For our focus group we had 3 members of our artist's target audience to answer some questions about their favorite genres and artists as well as our chosen track and the music video we should make for it.

Results:
We have learnt from our focus group that for the song that we have chosen, a music video that is performance type will be most popular with our target audience. We have also found out that an urban/city setting will be the best for our video. Other parts like expensive cars and lip syncing were also suggested to be included and so we will try to include them in our video.Tuesday, 8 November 2016

Pitch and Feedback
In our pitch we discussed the idea of shooting a music video for the song 'Make me feel better' by Alex Adair. In the discussion we covered how we got the idea for the song and then created it into a music video idea. We decided to use my holiday to Jamaica as a chance to shoot footage out there to use in the video as the genre of the song belonged to tropical house.
